KNOWLEDGE OF IRON IN Qur'an

Who is not familiar with the iron? Hearing his name alone may have a lot of people know about this one thing, because the usability and usefulness in everyday life is so much. Drew, iron is the only metal that made by God as a letter in the Qur'an, namely Surat Al Hadid, meaning "iron". And said Al-Hadid itself taken from verse 25 letter.


"... .. And We have created an iron that her powers are great and many benefits for mankind, (that they use iron) and that Allah may know who helps (religion) and His apostles of His, and Allah does not see ". (Al-Hadid: 25)


In this verse, the Qur'an clearly reveal about the creation of iron, steel and power of iron for human benefit. With iron, Muslims could also help the religion of Allah.


Creation Iron

Iron is an element of the most abundant metal on earth (about 36%). In fact, from the modern astronomical research has found about an extraordinary thing. That iron is in the belly of the earth comes from the stars in outer space.


In terms of capacity, iron has the form (structure) is unique. In order for the electrons and nitron-nitron be integrated in the element iron it needs tremendous energy reach 4 times larger than the total energy in our solar planets. "This means, not the metal may have formed while on earth. There must be a foreign element that came down to earth where he has not formed there.


It could be argued that the iron is formed from a larger star than the sun, so that when the temperature rises and explodes, the pieces will be scattered throughout the universe, then attracted by the gravity of the earth, and embedded for millions of years on earth.

It is clear that God has created the iron and then lowered into the earth to be processed and utilized by humans in life.

Iron contained in the bowels of the earth too, had long since become the main material used by humans in many areas of life, such as during the first war, steel became the most important raw material in making combat equipment such as swords, shields and armor. One source of minerals that are important in the history of Islamic technology also is iron and steel. In the era of the triumph of Islam, the development of processing techniques for iron and steel is growing rapidly already.



Verily Allah Mighty Mighty anymore. Iron processing techniques have also been informed by God in the Koran dozens of centuries. In the letter Al-Khafi paragraph 96.

"Give me pieces of iron." Until, when it has the same iron flat on the second (peak) mountain, Dzulkarnain said, "Blow up (fire it)." Until, when he had made it (red as) fire, he said , "Give me a copper (boiling) so that I pour onto the hot iron". (Al-Kahf: 96)


From the above verse, it is known that God has given information about the processing of iron is very important through kisahDzulkarnain. Of course this is in line with the metal processing has been done by people from ancient times until today where iron is now so sophisticated, such as iron ore smelting process, combustion, pour in the process, cast, forged, and others. If the above paragraph further examined, it will be obtained by an iron manufacturing processes and developing more advanced these days, namely through the process of blast furnace (blast furnace stove). This is certainly consistent with the metal processing information on Al-Kahf: 96

Another fact which is informed in the Qur'an is about the process of formation of a product / goods in accordance with the functions and kepentingan.Hal is revealed in surah Al-Anbiya 'verse 80.


"And We taught him to make armor for you, to keep you in peperanganmu. So, should you give thanks (to Allah) ".




In this verse, explains that the prophet David was able to make a product from the iron raw material, ie armor, it uses the war.



In addition, in follow-up sentence in the letter Al Hadid: 25,

Iron is the most important metal in the history of mankind since the ancient Mesopotamian civilization until now. No other metal usage exceeds the amount of iron. Based on the strength, shape, and structure resulting from the processing of iron, so iron can now diakatakan as the backbone of modern civilization, such as skyscrapers, bridges, equipment vehicles, weapons, agricultural tools, plumbing, and all types of machines. Which of course has the power of different, tailored to its use. Can imagine how strong the metal on the bridge framework, where each time receiving a continuous load, is always burdened by cars passing through the bridge at any time, but the bridge remained strong, and idak destroyed. Or strong as steel at a military vehicle chassis, such as the armored, tank, in holding all kinds of bullets, and missiles. So it is not surprising that steel production worldwide reached more than one billion tons per year.


All of this explains the fact that is one proof that kauniyah verses (the laws of God in the universe) corresponds qauliyah verses (word of God). Both paragraph kauniyah and qauliyah, both the rule of the Creator of the Universe. It is true the word of God:

"We'll show the people our Signs in the horizon of the universe and within themselves, so obvious to them that the Quran is true (haqq)." (Surat Fushshilat: 53).
